How Do You Behave Towards An Enslaved

How do you behave towards someone who is trapped in a cell or someone who is enslaved?
Most are trapped in a cell created by themselves, a cell created from fear. They function from this cell, and although they screen, shout and are angry, have little power for they are entrapped.
