Detecting The Ego
You can detect how active the ego is by checking the depth and ease of your breathing and any tension in your body. If it is active, the breath becomes shallow and the body will become tense. When inactive (dormant), the breath is natural and free flowing. To rise above an active ego, simply play close attention to your breath and body. The ego will be disempowered and return to it's dormant state.
