Authentic Anonymous Feedback

Receiving authentic, anonymous feedback (AAF) from others provide two valuable insights

1) You learn how to improve things you don't see yourself but other do
2) You get a better understanding of the human mind, other's perceptions of you whether true or false

You could extract these mutually exclusive benefits from feedback for self development, healing old wounds from friends who misinterpreted a behavior you exhibited in a negative way, get a deeper understanding of how the human judgement and perception (is it more negative or positive), a deeper understanding of how people think and perceive around you. If you are open to candid feedback you have a growth mentality rather than a fixed one. You recognise that you could develop and grow and use candid feedback to better understand how you could improve based on your own values.
