The mind's addiction to attention from the external world can only be observe through presence. Become still and notice the mind's addictions to seeking and avoiding. You become free through this simple non-judgmental observation of the reality of the nature of the mind.

True grounding exists when one brings oneself back home through the power of the breath and body. Come home, use your breath anytime your mind takes you away from presence. This will be the most important practice that you can take with you, every single moment.

Whenever the mind falls into imagination or memories. Become observant. KNOW what it is doing and the fact that all of that is just nothing more than memories sand imagination. Return to home to your breath and body to see the delusion of the mind. There is no other way to see this.

The mind loves to feel special, it loves to seek pleasure and minimise displeasure - seek comfort and avoid discomfort. Only you can transcend this. Be kind and fierce at the same time with the mind. Alert and attentive, while remaining kind and curious. Be still.

When consumed by thought, move into the body. Ask yourself what am I feeling inside, and where am I feeling it? When another is consumed by thought, guide them into their body through inquiry. “How are you feeling? Where are you feeling it?” Be with their feelings. In that way you have opened up space for what is, the emotions that exist, without the need to deny or change. True empathy and compassion exists in this space.

The delusion of the human mind is the belief that once it achieves a certain goal or arrives at a certain place, it will finally be free from all problems. Yet even in the most ideal place, new problems arise. And with every attainment comes the fear of losing what can be lost.
True freedom may not come from securing a perfect life, but from fully accepting the impermanence of all things and all forms.
In this freedom, we appreciate things as they arise and are willing to let go when they pass, embracing the full spectrum of human existence and the agony and the ecstacy of human existence.

The lust that consumes is no different to the anger that consumes, is no different to the hate that consumes, the obsession that consumes, the judgement that consumes. All take one into deep unconsciousness. Your awareness, not your suppression is what is required to guide you back to freedom. Nothing else can - all else sustains a dysfunction whose remedy is only presence.

When we fail to see the wound in ourselves and others that causes fear, anger, hatred on the surface but deep down it is actual hurt, or safety is compromised, then we just simply perpetuate violence within and without. Look beyond the surface of the behaviour and understand the cause. Then treat it from there. You realise the only true remedy is acceptance, kindness and compassion.

When you declare truth, not opinion, you gain direct access to freedom and peace.
Even if it is the declaration of the fact that your mind is experiencing an angry thought, the declaration that you are physiologically experiencing rage, your mind is noisy, you are feeling lost. As long as the truth is fully embraced and not resisted, freedom is a byproduct of this declaration and simultaneous acceptance of the truth of the matter.

When you begin to see yourself blaming the behaviour, you have forgotten the cause.
When you become aware of the cause, you begin to see the true remedy.

The ego can cleverly disguise itself as kindness, trying to look “good” in front of others, to enhance its own image. Watch and watch carefully the clever ego that tries to enhance its image to be liked, to be respected. The moment you witness it, you are freed from it.

The cause of all violence we cause ourselves, others and the planet is caused by the lack of awareness and understanding which also leads to the fight against reality.

It’s really never about the others’ behaviour and all about our expectations of others behaving a certain way that causes us the most amount of suffering.

“I am thinking about…” is always one step closer to reality than the thought itself.

You won't have to believe whatever your mind thinks - much of it is biased, incomplete stories conditioned by the environment and your past. By other people's limited perspective and beliefs.
