When Consumed By Thoughts...
When consumed by thought, move into the body. Ask yourself what am I feeling inside, and where am I feeling it? When another is consumed by thought, guide them into their body through inquiry. “How are you feeling? Where are you feeling it?” Be with their feelings. In that way you have opened up space for what is, the emotions that exist, without the need to deny or change. True empathy and compassion exists in this space.

Nothing to Turn Away From
There is nothing to turn away from - only to lean in and embrace. Notice your resistance. Resistance to others' judgements and complaints, to others "wrongdoings", to your own flaws and the flaws of the world, strong emotions arising and passing away. Be still, and let the waves pass by. You are already complete.

The Delusion of the Human Mind
The delusion of the human mind is the belief that once it achieves a certain goal or arrives at a certain place, it will finally be free from all problems. Yet even in the most ideal place, new problems arise. And with every attainment comes the fear of losing what can be lost.
True freedom may not come from securing a perfect life, but from fully accepting the impermanence of all things and all forms.
In this freedom, we appreciate things as they arise and are willing to let go when they pass, embracing the full spectrum of human existence and the agony and the ecstacy of human existence.

Detecting The Ego
You can detect how active the ego is by checking the depth and ease of your breathing and any tension in your body. If it is active, the breath becomes shallow and the body will become tense. When inactive (dormant), the breath is natural and free flowing. To rise above an active ego, simply play close attention to your breath and body. The ego will be disempowered and return to it's dormant state.

It is Easy to Love and Hate
It is easy to love as much as it is easy to hate.
You can hate through one judgement that cuts you from this moment in whatever form in manifests and love by dropping that judgemnet. Love requires nothing to add - only to drop, to shed away the layers of judgement and that obstructed the natural flow of love in all creation - including You.
When We Judge
When we judge we are expecting perfection in form - we forget the form is intrinsically imperfect. Simultanously we lose sight of the hidden perfection in any form - conceiled by form but revealed thorugh absolute attention and dropping judgement.

Presence: the Remedy of Unconsciousness
The lust that consumes is no different to the anger that consumes, is no different to the hate that consumes, the obsession that consumes, the judgement that consumes. All take one into deep unconsciousness. Your awareness, not your suppression is what is required to guide you back to freedom. Nothing else can - all else sustains a dysfunction whose remedy is only presence.
